Originally established in 1994 as MSV Life p.l.c., the company grew to become the largest life insurance provider in Malta. It was a joint venture between Bank of Valletta p.l.c. and Middlesea Insurance p.l.c. Over the years, with MAPFRE S.A.'s increasing stake in Middlesea, the company was rebranded to MAPFRE MSV Life p.l.c. to reflect its integration into the global MAPFRE group. The company specializes in providing a wide range of life insurance, savings, investment, and retirement solutions to both individual and corporate clients in Malta.
