Founded in 1997, Money Mentors is the only Alberta-based, non-profit credit counselling agency. Its mission is to educate Albertans in personal money management and the wise use of credit. The organization offers a range of services including free financial counselling, debt consolidation through its Orderly Payment of Debts (OPD) program (for which it is the exclusive provider in Alberta as legislated by the Government of Canada), and financial education workshops and courses to help clients achieve financial stability.
