Millennium Bank, National Association was a community bank established in 2001, providing a range of personal and business banking services to the Northern Virginia area. The bank faced significant financial difficulties, leading to its failure. On October 2, 2015, it was closed by its primary regulator, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) was named receiver, and all deposits and certain assets were subsequently assumed by WashingtonFirst Bank, N.A. of Reston, Virginia, to protect depositors.
