Founded in 1975, MCE Insurance Ltd grew to become one of the UK's leading providers of motorcycle insurance. The company operated as a broker, selling and administering policies underwritten by MCE Insurance Company Limited (a separate Gibraltar-based entity). In November 2021, the underwriter, MCE Insurance Company Ltd, was placed into administration. Subsequently, the UK broker, MCE Insurance Ltd, also ceased trading and officially entered into administration in July 2022. The company is no longer writing new or renewing policies, and its affairs are being managed by appointed administrators.
