LegacyTexas Financial Group, Inc. was the parent company of LegacyTexas Bank, a commercial bank headquartered in Plano, Texas. Originally founded in 1952, the bank grew significantly through acquisitions and organic growth to become one of the largest independent banks in Texas. It provided a comprehensive range of financial services to businesses and individuals, including commercial and retail banking, mortgage lending, and wealth management. In 2019, LegacyTexas announced its merger with Prosperity Bancshares, Inc. The transaction was completed in 2020, and all LegacyTexas branches and operations were fully integrated and rebranded under the Prosperity Bank name.
