Knip
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 2013 in Zurich, Switzerland, Knip was a digital insurance broker that aimed to simplify insurance management for consumers. Through its mobile app, users could get a complete overview of their existing insurance policies, tariffs, and benefits in one place, regardless of the provider. The platform also offered analysis and recommendations to help customers optimize their coverage and costs. After raising significant venture capital and becoming a prominent player in the European insurtech scene, Knip merged with the Dutch competitor Komparu in 2017 to create the Digital Insurance Group (DIG). The original Swiss entity, Knip AG, subsequently filed for bankruptcy in 2018 as operations were consolidated under the new group.
