iStudentLoan.com was originally a service that helped students find and compare private student loans from various lenders. In 2010, Discover Financial Services acquired The Student Loan Corporation from Citigroup, which included the iStudentLoan brand and its assets. Since the acquisition, the iStudentLoan domain and brand have been integrated into Discover's own student loan division, Discover Student Loans, which now directly originates and services a wide range of private student loans for undergraduate, graduate, MBA, law, and health profession students, as well as consolidation and parent loans.
