Founded in 1983, The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is a not-for-profit members’ organisation that represents the interests of manufacturers, distributors, users, and rental and training companies in the powered access industry. Its mission is to promote the safe and effective use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) and Mast Climbing Work Platforms (MCWPs) globally. IPAF accomplishes this through providing technical advice, safety information, influencing legislation and standards, and through its world-renowned training and certification programmes, such as the PAL (Powered Access Licence) card.
