Founded in 1953 by a small group of workers at the Hanford Atomic Energy Project, HAPO Community Credit Union has grown into a major financial institution serving communities in Washington State and parts of Oregon. As a not-for-profit cooperative, its mission is to provide financial products and services to its members at a lower cost than traditional banks, with profits returned to members through better rates and services.
