Originally chartered in 1941 to serve the employees of the Timken Company, Golden Circle Credit Union expanded in 2005 to a community-chartered institution. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, it is owned and operated by its members. Its mission is to provide a full range of affordable financial services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, and mortgages, to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Stark County, Ohio.
