The company's primary mission is to operate and continuously develop the Bankközi Klíring Rendszer (BKR - Interbank Clearing System), the automated clearing house for Hungary. GIRO Zrt. ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient processing of domestic forint payment transactions, including credit transfers, direct debits, and the national Instant Payment System (Azonnali Fizetési Rendszer - AFR).
