Established on March 1, 2003, the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) is an independent governmental institution accountable to the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. Its core mission is to ensure the stability, transparency, and integrity of the non-banking financial markets, thereby protecting the interests of investors, the insured, and individuals in supplementary pension schemes. The FSC regulates and supervises three major sectors: the investment market (capital markets), the insurance market, and the supplementary social security market (pension funds).
