Finance Watch is an independent, non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 2011 to act as a public interest counterweight to the powerful financial lobby. Created in response to the global financial crisis of 2008, its mission is to strengthen the voice of society in the reform of financial regulation. The organization conducts research, publishes analysis, and engages in advocacy to make the financial system more stable, transparent, and beneficial for society as a whole, rather than just for the financial industry itself.
