Established in 1954, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) is the main stock exchange of Bangladesh, serving as a pivotal platform for capital raising and investment. As the country's first exchange, it has played a crucial role in the development of the Bangladeshi economy. In 2013, the DSE transformed from a non-profit cooperative to a demutualized, for-profit company owned by its shareholders, aligning its structure with international standards. Its mission is to provide a fully automated, transparent, and efficient marketplace for trading securities, including equities and bonds, thereby facilitating economic growth and wealth creation in Bangladesh.
