Crowdfunding NZ Limited was incorporated in July 2013 with the mission to provide a platform for New Zealand-based companies to raise capital from the public. It was positioned to be one of the first licensed equity crowdfunding platforms in the country following the introduction of new financial market regulations in 2014. However, the company did not ultimately launch a live, licensed platform and was officially removed from the New Zealand Companies Register in 2016.
