Community Sourced Capital was a Seattle-based Social Purpose Corporation founded in 2012 that aimed to strengthen local economies by creating a more accessible and relationship-based funding model for small businesses. The company facilitated zero-interest loans by allowing community members ("Squareholders") to contribute small amounts of money to a campaign. Once a business reached its funding goal, it received the capital as a loan to be repaid over a set period. Before closing, the company successfully facilitated $1,894,800 in loans from 11,273 supporters to 103 small businesses.
