Founded in 1985, the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering sustainable community development. As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), its mission is to provide access to capital and free technical assistance to underserved and economically disadvantaged individuals, minority and women-owned businesses, and social enterprises. The fund offers flexible loans for small businesses, non-profits, and affordable housing projects that may not qualify for traditional financing, thereby promoting economic opportunity and revitalization within its service area.
