Founded in 2015, Capdesk was created to simplify and digitize equity management for startups and high-growth companies across Europe. The platform allows businesses to manage their capitalization tables, administer employee stock option plans (ESOPs), and comply with reporting requirements in a single, automated hub. In March 2022, Capdesk was acquired by Carta, a leading US-based equity management platform, to combine their strengths and expand services across the UK and Europe. The Capdesk brand is now presented as "Capdesk is now Carta," integrating its services into Carta's global offering.
