Founded in 1965, Blackhawk Community Credit Union (BHCCU) operates as a not-for-profit financial institution owned and controlled by its members. Its mission is to enrich the lives of its members and the communities it serves by providing a full range of financial services, including savings and checking accounts, auto and home loans, credit cards, and investment services. As a cooperative, profits are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer fees, rather than being distributed to stockholders.
