Founded in 2012, Bitmaker was one of Canada's first and leading technology skills accelerators. Its mission was to bridge the digital skills gap by offering intensive, full-time and part-time programs in areas like web development and user experience design. The company aimed to launch careers in the tech industry by providing students with practical, in-demand skills. In 2016, Bitmaker was acquired by the global education company General Assembly and has since been fully integrated, now serving as the Toronto campus for General Assembly.
