BetterFi is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) founded in 2018. The organization's mission is to combat predatory lending practices, such as payday and title loans, by offering a sustainable alternative. They achieve this by refinancing high-interest predatory loans into a single, affordable loan with a fixed low-interest rate. In addition to financial relief, BetterFi provides mandatory, free, one-on-one financial coaching to its clients to help them build credit, manage their finances, and achieve long-term financial stability.
