Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) is a Polish national development bank with a history dating back to 1924. Its mission is to support the sustainable social and economic growth of Poland by financing strategic infrastructure projects, supporting local governments, and increasing the competitiveness of Polish enterprises, including small and medium-sized businesses. BGK is the only state-owned bank in Poland and actively participates in implementing government economic programs and distributing EU funds. It operates by providing financing, guarantees, and sureties in cooperation with the commercial banking sector.
