Atlantic Coast Financial Corporation was a publicly traded (formerly NASDAQ: ACFC) bank holding company headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. Its primary subsidiary, Atlantic Coast Bank, was a federally-chartered savings bank founded in 1939. The company provided a full suite of community banking services, including personal and business deposit accounts, commercial and residential mortgage loans, and other credit services. On May 31, 2018, Atlantic Coast Financial Corporation was officially acquired by Ameris Bancorp in an all-stock transaction, and its operations and branches were subsequently merged into Ameris Bank.
