Associazione Italiana Banche Estere (AIBE), the Italian Association of Foreign Banks, was established in Milan in 1993. AIBE acts as the primary institutional representative for these entities in their dealings with Italian authorities, including the Bank of Italy, CONSOB (the Italian financial regulator), the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and other relevant public bodies.
