The Africa Agriculture and Trade Investment Fund (AATIF) was established as a public-private partnership in 2011, initiated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the German Development Bank KfW. Its mission is to unlock the potential of Africa's agricultural sector by providing patient and responsible capital. AATIF invests across the entire agricultural value chain, from production and processing to logistics and trade, aiming to improve food security, create employment, and foster sustainable economic development on the continent.
