Acromas Holdings

Information by Research Trustfinance

Acromas Holdings was formed in 2007 by the private equity firms Charterhouse, CVC Capital Partners, and Permira to act as the holding company for their acquisitions of The AA and Saga. The merger created a significant force in the UK's insurance, travel, and roadside assistance markets, primarily serving motorists and the over-50 demographic. The company operated both brands until 2014, when it was demerged, leading to separate Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) for The AA plc and Saga plc on the London Stock Exchange. Following the successful separation and flotation of its two main assets, Acromas Holdings was formally dissolved in 2016.
