Founded in 1980 as Værdipapircentralen, VP Securities A/S is the central securities depository in Denmark. It is responsible for the registration, clearing, and settlement of all listed Danish securities, including shares and bonds. As a critical component of Denmark's financial infrastructure, its mission is to ensure efficiency, safety, and stability in the securities market. In August 2020, VP Securities was acquired by Euronext, the leading pan-European market infrastructure, and now operates under the commercial name "Euronext Securities Copenhagen" as part of the Euronext CSD network.
