Established in 1950, the Shinkin Central Bank (SCB) serves as the central bank for Japan's network of Shinkin Banks, which are cooperative regional financial institutions primarily serving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and local residents. The SCB's mission is to support its member Shinkin Banks by managing their liquidity, providing various financial products and services, and ensuring the stability of the entire Shinkin Bank system.
