Founded in 2014, ShareACamper was a community-based sharing platform that connected campervan owners with travelers looking to rent them. The company operated on a peer-to-peer model, allowing private owners to list their vehicles for hire, thereby earning income from an underutilized asset. It initially launched in Germany and later expanded to New Zealand and Australia. In June 2021, ShareACamper was acquired by the Australian-based RV rental company Camplify, and its platform and listings were subsequently integrated into Camplify's services.
