The Renewable Energy Performance Platform (REPP) was established in 2015 with funding from the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to support the growth of renewable energy in Sub-Saharan Africa. Managed by Camco, REPP's mission is to bridge the financing gap for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the renewable energy sector by providing a range of financial products, risk mitigation instruments, and technical assistance. By de-risking projects and proving their commercial viability, REPP aims to attract private and institutional investors, thereby accelerating a transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy across the continent.
