Founded in 2010 by Alyssa Furtado and James Laird, Ratehub.ca's mission is to empower Canadians to make smarter financial decisions. The company started as a platform for comparing mortgage rates and has since expanded to include comparisons for credit cards, high-interest savings accounts, GICs, chequing accounts, and insurance (home, auto, life). In addition to its comparison services, Ratehub Inc. also operates its own in-house mortgage brokerage, CanWise Financial, which is one of the largest technology-enabled brokerages in Canada. The company combines digital convenience and comparison tools with expert, impartial advice.
