Founded in 2012 in Toronto, Quandl's mission was to make the world's vast amount of numerical data easily accessible to analysts, developers, and investors via a clean API. The company built a platform aggregating millions of time-series datasets from hundreds of publishers. In December 2018, Nasdaq acquired Quandl to enhance its portfolio of market data and analytics solutions. The platform has since been integrated and rebranded as Nasdaq Data Link, continuing its service of providing high-quality data to a global client base that includes top hedge funds, asset managers, and investment banks.
