The Private Security Sector Provident Fund (PSSPF) was established in 2002 through a sectoral determination by the National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector in South Africa. As a defined contribution fund, its primary mission is to provide financial security for security officers and their families upon retirement. The fund collects mandatory contributions from both employers and employees within the sector, professionally manages and invests these assets, and pays out benefits to members in the event of retirement, death, disability, or withdrawal from the fund.
