Founded in Singapore in 2018, hoolah was a financial technology company that provided 'Buy Now, Pay Later' (BNPL) services across Southeast Asia. Its platform enabled consumers to purchase items and pay for them in three monthly, interest-free installments, both online and in-store. The company's mission was to help consumers afford what they need responsibly, while also helping merchants increase conversion rates and basket sizes. In 2021, hoolah was acquired by the rewards and discovery platform ShopBack. However, in a strategic shift to focus on its core cashback services, ShopBack discontinued all of hoolah's BNPL operations on June 27, 2023.
