Originally established in Victoria in 1853 as a friendly society, Foresters Financial has a long history of providing financial products and support to its members. As a member-owned (mutual) organisation, its focus has been on returning value to members rather than shareholders. In a significant recent development, on 1 December 2023, the life insurance business of Foresters Financial was transferred to NobleOak Life Limited. Following this transfer, Foresters Financial ceased to be a friendly society regulated by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and now operates as a distributor of investment and funeral bond products issued by NobleOak.
