EquaCoin was a project that launched around 2017-2018 with the mission to become the first decentralized digital bank in Africa. It intended to promote financial inclusion by supporting all African currencies through its proprietary E-Wallet, a planned debit card, and its native cryptocurrency, EquaCoin (EVC). The company conducted an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) to fund its development. However, based on the cessation of updates on its official channels and the delisting of its token from exchanges, the project is now considered inactive and defunct.
