Founded in 1935 by a group of Amarillo, Texas schoolteachers, Education Credit Union (ECU) is a full-service financial institution dedicated to serving its members. As a not-for-profit cooperative, ECU returns its earnings to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer fees. The credit union's mission is to provide affordable financial services to the education community and residents within its designated service area, offering a range of products including checking and savings accounts, auto loans, mortgages, credit cards, and investment services.
