Historically, CNS was a key brand within the RSA Canada Group. In June 2021, Intact Financial Corporation completed its acquisition of RSA Insurance Group plc, including its Canadian operations. As a result, Canadian Northern Shield now operates under the umbrella of Intact, Canada's largest provider of P&C insurance, while continuing to focus on its broker-centric service model.
