BKM Express
Information by Viktor Boscovich
Bankalararası Kart Merkezi (BKM), or the Interbank Card Center of Turkey, was established in 1990 by 13 public and private Turkish banks. Its mission is to operate, manage, and develop the rules and standards for card payment systems in Turkey. BKM launched the BKM Express digital wallet in 2012 to allow consumers to store their card information securely and make online payments quickly without repeatedly entering their details. Following the transfer of BKM's ownership to the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey in 2023, the company began integrating the BKM Express service into TROY GO, the digital wallet for Turkey's national payment scheme, TROY.
