Founded in 2017, FXcoin Co., Ltd. was a Tokyo-based cryptocurrency company that operated a digital asset exchange for Japanese customers. It was registered as a Crypto Asset Exchange Service Provider with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau, positioning itself as a regulated and secure platform focused on providing institutional-grade services. In 2022, the company was acquired by the major Japanese financial group SBI Holdings, and on December 1, 2022, it was officially merged into SBI's existing crypto-asset subsidiary, SBI VC Trade Co., Ltd., with FXcoin being the dissolving company. All services and customer accounts were subsequently integrated into SBI VC Trade.
