The Winnsboro Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is a Type 4B, non-profit organization funded by a one-half cent sales tax. Its mission is to foster a vibrant local economy by creating and retaining jobs, expanding the city's tax base, and supporting projects that improve the community's quality of life. WEDC works to attract new businesses, support the expansion of existing ones through various incentive programs, and invest in infrastructure and community development projects to make Winnsboro an attractive place to live, work, and do business.
