Wingocard was a Canadian fintech company founded in 2018 with the mission to improve financial literacy among teenagers. It offered a mobile banking solution consisting of a prepaid Visa debit card for teens and a connected mobile application that allowed parents to instantly transfer money, set spending limits, and monitor their children's transactions. The service aimed to give teens financial independence in a controlled environment. Despite raising seed funding, the Montreal-based company ceased operations and shut down in May 2023.
