Founded in 1980, Wilshire Bank was a Los Angeles-based financial institution that became one of the largest Korean-American banks in the United States. The bank focused on providing a full range of personal and business banking services, including deposits, loans, and international trade finance, tailored to its community. In 2016, Wilshire Bank completed a merger of equals with BBCN Bank, another leading Korean-American bank. The combined entity was rebranded as Bank of Hope, creating the only super-regional Korean-American bank in the nation.
