Founded in 1966, Westport Credit Union Ltd. is a not-for-profit financial institution that is owned and controlled by its members. Its mission is to provide affordable financial services, including savings accounts, personal loans, mortgages, and current accounts, to individuals and families living or working within its defined "common bond" area. As a cooperative, its focus is on serving its members and community rather than maximizing profits for shareholders. It is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.
