Waterside Credit Union Limited is a member-owned financial co-operative established in 1999, originally for employees of the VSEL shipyard in Barrow-in-Furness. It has since expanded its 'common bond' to serve anyone living or working in the LA or CA postcode areas of North West England. As a not-for-profit organization, its mission is to provide ethical and affordable financial services, including savings accounts and loans, to its community members, promoting financial well-being and returning profits to members through dividends.
