Originally chartered in 1951 to serve employees of a local V.A. Hospital, Washington Area Federal Credit Union has since expanded its field of membership. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, it is owned and governed by its members, with a mission to provide competitive financial products and services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, and digital banking solutions, while maintaining financial stability and promoting the financial well-being of its community.
