Founded in 1991, Vozrozhdenie Bank was one of Russia's oldest post-Soviet financial institutions. It operated as a universal commercial bank, focusing on serving corporate clients, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and individual customers, with a strong presence in the Moscow region and other key economic areas of Russia. In 2018, VTB Group acquired a controlling stake in the bank, and the full legal merger and operational integration were completed in 2020. All branches, services, and clients of Vozrozhdenie Bank were subsequently transferred to and rebranded under the VTB Bank name, effectively ceasing the "Vozrozhdenie" brand's existence as a separate entity.
