ViPay Wallet was a prominent electronic wallet in Vietnam, developed and operated by VIMO Technology Joint Stock Company. It allowed users to make peer-to-peer money transfers, pay utility bills, top up mobile phones, and make in-store purchases using QR codes. VIMO was one of the first non-bank companies licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam for payment intermediary services. In 2020-2021, VIMO and its ViPay service were merged with VNPAY, another major player in Vietnam's digital payment market, to consolidate services under the VNPAY brand, particularly leveraging VNPAY's extensive QR payment network.
