Established in 1946 by the Mississippi Legislature, the Veterans' Home Purchase Board (VHPB) is a division of the Mississippi Veterans Affairs Board. Its mission is to assist eligible Mississippi veterans, service members, and unmarried surviving spouses in achieving the dream of homeownership. The VHPB accomplishes this by offering competitive, low-interest mortgage loans for the purchase or construction of a primary residence within the State of Mississippi, operating as a self-supporting entity with funds derived from the issuance of tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds.
