Founded in 1987, the Vermont Community Loan Fund (VCLF) is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides flexible financing and business development assistance to Vermont-based entities that may not be able to access traditional capital. Its mission is to create opportunities that lead to healthy communities and financial stability for all Vermonters. VCLF pools capital from socially-motivated investors, foundations, and financial institutions to make loans for affordable housing, small businesses, early care and learning centers, and essential community facilities.
